(Text by Reporter Xing Beilin/Photograph by Reporter Yu Ruwen) On the morning of September 15, Jing’an District “Joint Action” large-scale community gratuitous treatment themed “action serving for the people’s health”, co-sponsored by the Jing’an District “Joint Action” Regional Party Building Healthcare Committee and Jing’an District Health and Family Planning Commission, was held in Roman Square of Daning-Lingshi Park.
At the activity site, medical experts from hospitals at all levels in Jing’an District, including Huashan Hospital Fudan University, Huadong Hospital, Shanghai Tenth People’s Hospital (Tenth People’s Hospital of Tongji University), Shanghai Municipal Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Shuguang Hospital, Children’s Hospital of Shanghai, Shanghai First Maternity and Infant Hospital, Eye & ENT Hospital of Fudan University, Jing’an District Centre Hospital of Shanghai, Jing’an District Zhabei Central Hospital, Jing’an District Shibei Hospital, Shanghai No.3 Rehabilitation Hospital, Community Health Service Centers of Jing’an District and Intertek (Shanghai) Medical Diagnostic Testing Centre, diagnosed at the site for community residents to offer premium medical consultation and medical services.
Centering on the family doctor system service and the family healthcare management concept, this gratuitous treatment offered free medical services, including rehabilitation therapy, ophtalmic testing, blood pressure measurement, test of blood glucose, uric acid and glycosylated hemoglobin, and gifted community residents health packages as the “health experts” at the elbow. In 2-hour gratuitous treatment, nearly 800 people received medical consultation service in total, 1,107 people received free tests of various categories, such as ophtalmic testing, and over 60 people received rehabilitation therapy, with over 800 health publicity materials distributed.
The reporter learned that the period from September 9 to September 15 is the national large-scale gratuitous treatment week. During the Week, medical institutions in Jing’an District organized gratuitous treatment of various forms to provide citizens with premium and convenient medical services near their home, which effectively improve citizens’ health knowledge level and awareness of disease prevention and treatment.
