To Pass on Concern and Care on the Occasion of the Mid-Autumn Festival

As the Mid-Autumn Festival approaches, on September 22, volunteers from Party Work Committee of Caojiadu Sub-district and its partner Shanghai Hongming Building Decoration Engineering Co., Ltd. visited elders in Caojiadu Sub-district Nursing Home and presented moon cakes and Mid-Autumn Festival greetings to them in advance.

 

Accompanied by the nursing home staff, volunteers asked in detail the elders’ daily living conditions and talked intimately with them. Volunteers, who were enthusiastic about social welfare, visited every room in the nursing home under the guidance of President Wu of the nursing home to present festival greetings and carefully-prepared festival gifts to elders. They also said that in the future, after the work, they would visit the nursing home regularly to accompany the elders, help them within their capacity and contribute to our society.

 

The reporter learned that, last year, Shanghai Hongming Building Decoration Engineering Co., Ltd. invested over 40,000 yuan to paint walls in Caojiadu Sub-district Nursing Home for free. Caojiadu Sub-district expressed gratitude to Shanghai Hongming Building Decoration Engineering Co., Ltd. for the contribution made by volunteers to public welfare cause. Related responsible person urged staff of the nursing home to care for the elders’ mental state by talking with them frequently besides taking care of their material living conditions to enable the elders to spend a happy remaining years in the nursing home. Shanghai Hongming Building Decoration Engineering Co., Ltd. noted that this activity had enabled volunteers to profoundly know how to understand truly the elders’ feelings, and to show their respect and care for the elders with practical actions. They also expressed the hope to contribute their forces by frequent public welfare activities in the community.
