Leaders of Municipal Organs Carried out Investigation and Survey in Jing’an District


(Reporter Huang Jingjing) On August 29 and August 30, Han Zheng, Secretary of the CPC Shanghai Committee, and leaders of municipal organs led heads of districts’ Party committees and governments as well as heads of related Shanghai municipal commissions, offices and bureaus to visit Jing’an District, Baoshan District and Yangpu District to understand in detail the innovative measures and best practices concerning central task of Shanghai, especially in implementing and supporting the two national strategies: Shanghai Pilot Free Trade Zone and Global Science & Technology Innovation Center.


On the morning of August 29, leaders of municipal organs visited the Shibei High-tech “Cloud Cube” Park in Jing’an District. District leaders An Lusheng, Lu Xiaodong and so on accompanied in the investigation and survey and reported the construction progress of “Beautiful City”. In 2016, Jing’an District incorporated the construction of “Beautiful City” into the “Four in One” comprehensive improvement of ecological environment and implemented simultaneously with “five breaches, four musts”, river regulation and construction of “Beautiful Home”. Over the past two years, Jing’an District has invested RMB7.192 billion in greening construction covering a total area of 350,000 square meters of 246 municipal roads, 785 residential areas, river regulation of 23.19 kilometers and building repair and rebuilt of 21.168 million square meters, improving the urban governance competence effectively.


Leaders of municipal organs then listened to the presentation of the transformation and upgrade of the Park, interacted with relevant enterprises, such as Shanghai Data Exchange Corp., got to know enterprises’ explorations and practices in promoting big data connectivity, openness and sharing. According to information, Shanghai Data Exchange Corp. has functions of promoting market circulation of business data, cross-regional institutions’ cooperation and data connectivity, integrated application of governments’ data and business data and so on.


Leaders of municipal organs also inspected the construction progress of the municipal major project - North-South Channel. At present, the project phase I of opening up and rebuilding Pushan Road, Wanrong Road and Sanquan Road has been completed and open to traffic. And the project phase II will be started at the end of this year.
