Yugucun is often visited by tourists. The houses in this lane were built during 1920s to the middle of 1930s in a mixed Chinese and Western style. As soon as visitors entering the lane they are welcomed by the residents of the area by standing on both sides of the lane, blowing flutes or beating cymbals. At the same time visitors may choose different tourist programs in line with their own interests, such as learning calligraphy, waist drum dance, to make Chinese knots, paper engraving, or learning to make wonton, spring roll and steamed stuffed buns and so on.
