On July 1, 2019, more than 100 young students from Shanghai Jing'an Education College Affiliated School, Shanghai Jing'an Zhabei No.1 Central Primary School and Shanghai Xiangdong Middle School gathered at the Site Memorial of the Second National Congress of CPC to participate in the "I Love the Motherland, Let's Sing the National Anthem Together"-"Growing under the National Flag" Jing'an District Young Students Flag-raising Event & Patriotism Education Base Theme Publicity Activity, which was co-hosted by the district Education Bureau, the district Youth League Committee and the district Young Pioneers Working Committee and co-organized by the Site Memorial of the Second National Congress of CPC.
With the majestic national anthem, flag raisers from Shanghai Jing'an Education College Affiliated School-Wu Dongtai, who won the title of "Tomorrow's Science & Technology Star" in Shanghai in 2019, and Yao Jiaying, a champion of women's group of Shanghai Youth Gobang Competition, slowly raised the bright Five-star Red Flag to the sky. At the Theme Publicity Activity, Li Guanqing, also from Shanghai Jing'an Education College Affiliated School, delivered a keynote speech themed "I Praise for My Motherland". And Ni Jiming, Secretary of the CPC Shanghai Jing'an Education College Affiliated School Branch Party, sent his best wishes for the teenagers in his speech, in which he concluded the hardships our Party has endured and the great contributions it has made over the past 98 years; thus, in the new era, we should make great aspirations under the bright Five-star Red Flag: aim for the highest, strive to be a pioneer with firm ideals and beliefs; with both political integrity and professional competence, fight to be the pioneer that inherits the red gene; develop comprehensively, strive to be the pioneer to bare the historical missions; and follow the Party closely, love the motherland, and strive to realize the Chinese Dream of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. Representatives from the district Education Bureau, the district Youth League Committee and the Site Memorial of the Second National Congress of CPC issued honorary certificates to the flag raisers, flag guards and the students who made a speech.
Relevant officials of the district Education Bureau told the reporter that holding the flag-raising themed educational event on the Party's Birthday is to further stimulate the patriotic enthusiasm of the young students in the district, promote the national spirit with the patriotism as the core, enhance their national concepts, national self-confidence and national pride, and let them join hands to continue their struggle for the "Two Centenary" Goals and the Chinese Dream of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
