On June 20, as the whistle sounded at the end of the last competition, the 2021 Shanghai Students' Sunshine Sports League "Jiulong Cup" Basketball Game of "Champion Jing'an" Youth Sports Series in the Second Citizens' Sports Meeting of Jing'an District officially concluded. With the topic of basketball, this competition fully demonstrated the spirit of competition and the image of unity and collaboration of students in Jing'an District.
The basketball competition was hosted by the People's Government of Jing'an District, undertaken by the Sports Bureau of Jing'an District and Education Bureau of Jing'an District, and co-organized by the Shanghai Jing'an Campus Basketball League, Shanghai Jiulong Model Middle School, Shanghai No.60 High School, Shanghai Tianjiabing High School, Shanghai Xinzhong Junior High School and Shanghai O-Range Sports Competition Management Co., Ltd. The basketball competition was divided into four teams: boys' team for senior high school, boys' team for junior high school, boys' team for primary school and girls' team for primary school with 5 players in each group. The top 8 of each team emerged from 108 games in 6 days.
The "Jiulong Cup" Basketball Competition has attracted nearly 1,000 students to sign up, with unprecedented enthusiasm for participation, fully demonstrating the significant improvement of students' physical and comprehensive qualities in Jing'an District in recent years. During the games, the players ran with the ball, finished with a three-point field goal, passed the ball and fast broke, and completed steals and blocks, showing their youthful energy and the spirit of struggle in the screaming with excitement, and winning cheers and applause from the audience on the spot. Based on the principle of "Friendship First, Competition Second", each group burst out with sports enthusiasm in a good competitive state, fully showed the group's perfect cooperation and cohesion, displayed a positive and upward image, showing tense and wonderful games to the audience. To ensure fairness and justice of the competition, the competition committee invited national referees in active service in Shanghai to judge the competition, ensuring the smooth progress of the competition.
