Recently, the Jing’an District People’s Government held exchange meetings with the CPPCC Shanghai Jing’an District Committee. Wang Hua, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Jing’an District Committee and District Mayor, presided over the meeting. Ding Baoding, Secretary of the Leading Party Members’ Group and Chairman of the CPPCC Shanghai Jing’an District Committee, Fu Jun, Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Jing’an District Committee and Executive Deputy District Mayor, Jiang Jian, Li Zhen and Zhang Hui, Deputy District Mayors, Song Dajie, Chen Qihua, Zhou Xingang and Nie Dan, Vice Chairman of the CPPCC Shanghai Jing’an District Committee, attended the meeting.

On behalf of the Jing’an District People’s Government, Wang Hua expressed his gratitude to the CPPCC Shanghai Jing’an District Committee for its care, support, and supervision of the work of the Jing’an District People’s Government. He pointed out that it was an important institutional arrangement for the Jing’an District People’s Government to communicate with the CPPCC Shanghai Jing’an District Committee regularly and an important guarantee for doing a good job as a governing body. The positive opinions and suggestions put forward by the CPPCC Shanghai Jing’an District Committee and its members were useful for the Jing’an District People’s Government to carry out its work throughout the year.

Wang Hua said that this year, the Jing’an District People’s Government will work by following the arrangement of the CPC Shanghai Municipal Committee and CPC Jing’an District Committee, as well as the instructions given by the main leaders of the CPC Shanghai Municipal Committee during their inspection in Jing’an District. Under the strong leadership of the CPC Jing’an District Committee, the Jing’an District People’s Government will focus on the Four Goals of “being a model, setting an example, leading the way, and creating a demonstration district”. It will vigorously implement the Seven Plans of “enhancing investment quality, boosting the capacity of headquarters economy, improving the efficiency of key industries, increasing land productivity, accelerating major projects, optimizing service performance, and reinforcing the driving force of innovation and entrepreneurship”. It will comprehensively promote the “Five Major Projects,” including cohesion project, people’s heart project, digital project, brand project, and cornerstone project. It aims to continuously accelerate the construction of an exceptional modern international urban area and introduce more innovative, practical, and effective measures to promote high-quality development, achieve efficient governance, and create a high-quality living environment. Through its vivid practice, it will strive to set a model of a Chinese-style modern urban area.

Wang Hua expressed his hope that the CPPCC Shanghai Jing’an District Committee will provide more support to and carry out further supervision on the government’s work while working under the leadership of the CPC Jing’an District Committee to achieve all the targets and objectives set for the year.

In his speech, Ding Baoding thanked the Jing’an District People’s Government for its constant care and support for the work of the CPPCC Shanghai Jing’an District Committee. In the meeting, he emphasized that the CPPCC Shanghai Jing’an District Committee will align with the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, implement the Implementation Opinions on Strengthening and Improving the Work of CPPCC Shanghai Jing’an District Committee in the New Era issued by the CPC Shanghai Municipal Committee, and focus on the central tasks of the “Four Goals”, “Seven Enhancement Plans”, and “Five Major Projects”. He highlighted that the CPPCC Shanghai Jing’an District Committee will organize thematic standing committees, thematic consultation meetings, and thematic briefing meetings, carry out negotiation on proposal handling and research on topics, and build the workstations of “consultation with the people” to improve democratic supervision. Furthermore, he expressed hope that the CPPCC Shanghai Jing’an District Committee will hold book clubs, member training, and other activities to contribute to the wisdom and strength of the CPPCC for the Jing’an practice of promoting Chinese-style modernization in an all-around way.

During the meeting, the leaders in attendance discussed their plans for the year, taking into account their areas of responsibility and related work. Relevant responsible persons of the General Office of People’s Government of Jing’an District, Shanghai, and the General Office of the CPPCC Shanghai Jing’an District Committee attended the meeting.
