In the warm and sunny springtime, let’s together explore a dreamy 1,000 m² urban healing oasis, where a forest train adorned with fresh daisies awaits our leisurely visits.
This spring, JGC in Shanghai has created a 1,000 m² healing oasis themed “Blooming in Spring”, while offering a green plant adoption program and a “healing garden” concert. With its unique charm, this oasis aims to provide citizens and visitors with an ideal retreat where they can shed fatigue and seek solace for the soul.
Our reporter on-site noticed that JGC has further integrated the distinct spatial structure of the commercial body with a forest-style flower sea. Upon entering the main entrance of the shopping mall, people may feel as if they were stepping into a real Monet’s Garden. Landscape installations of various heights are matched with flowers and plants of different colors, with them being connected with design forms such as gravel trails and viewing platforms. Wooden swings, forest trains, and greenery scattered throughout create an outdoor landscape space with ever-evolving views seen when one moves.
Citizens can relax and socialize on the train, experiencing, in their busy lives, the healing power of flowers and plants without leaving the city.
At the Chinese wistaria-decorated corridor at the Gonghexin Road Entrance of the mall, strands of purple blossoms sway in the wind, cascading down like a purple waterfall. Walking through the corridor, with each breath, one can feel the healing power filling them up.
On the outdoor square on L1, a wide array of flowers and plants spread across B1’s steps, transforming the entire center into a dreamy floral paradise in the city’s hinterland.
Here, nature blends seamlessly with commerce, combining ecology with artistry. Notably, the center has launched its first green plant adoption program, where every plant cup will come with an adoption certificate, providing citizens with a strong sense of participation.
During the May Day holiday, the shopping mall will collaborate with the Shanghai Oriental Art Center, Shanghai Jingying Children’s Choir, Misterioso Y cross-border band, and other renowned artistic groups to present a healing garden-themed concert. Street dance performance “Scroll”, musical theater production “GROWL”, and children’s choir renditions of “Ascending Mountain in Spring”, “Spirited Away”, “My Neighbor Totoro”, and “Princess Mononoke”, will resonate with joyful melodies throughout this extended holiday.
During the period from April 26 to May 5, JGC, together with over 400 brands, will collectively invest nearly RMB 10 million in subsidies, offering high-value group purchase vouchers, dining discounts of up to 12% off for some restaurants, and up to a substantial RMB 60 reduction for each gram of gold, among other significant limited benefits. These initiatives are set to invigorate physical consumer spending in Shanghai during the May 5 Shopping Festival, unleashing consumer potential and painting a colorful stroke on the canvas of the event.
