Recently, the Daning Road Sub-district Comprehensive Administrative Law Enforcement Team carried out several law popularization activities, actively spreading legal knowledge to merchants within the jurisdiction. The aim was to reduce various types of illegal activities from the source and create a positive and orderly business environment for merchants.

During their daily inspections, law enforcement officers leveraged the management platform of the Shanghai Urban Management and Administration Execution System to proactively gather information on new stores under decoration. They updated this data to facilitate digital management. Additionally, they also publicized store responsibilities and carried out targeted law popularization around such regulations as the Regulations of Shanghai Municipality on the Administration of City Appearance and Environmental Sanitation.

In the law popularization activity, law enforcement officers required merchants to put an end to illegal acts such as conducting business operations across doorways and using public roads for storage purposes. They emphasized the importance of maintaining a clean and orderly area of responsibility, fostering self-discipline among merchants, and enhancing the street environment and overall appearance of the city.

To ensure a healthy life free from oil fumes, the team also paid high attention to the emissions of cooking fumes from restaurants. During daily law enforcement inspections, they focused on checking whether fume purification equipment was installed and operated normally, ensuring that restaurants signed the contract for kitchen waste oil disposal. During these inspections, they also popularized relevant laws to make sure that cooking fumes did not cause disturbance to residents and waste oil was properly disposed of. The law enforcement officers also enhanced their coordination with the environmental protection department. By changing the orientation of flues and installing smoke-proof facilities, they improved the effectiveness of fume control, providing strong support for the business environment in the catering industry.

The team stated that it would continue to deepen and implement fine urban management to create a stable and orderly business environment, ensuring that both residents and merchants truly feel the warmth of the city.
