On December 5, Jing'an District held an event themed "My City, My Home: The Silver Generation Shoulders Their Responsibility" to conscientiously study and implement the key guiding principles of General Secretary Xi Jinping's reply letter to all comrades of the "Old Poplar Lecture Program" in Yangpu District, Shanghai. Gong Yi, Deputy Director of the CPC Shanghai Municipal Committee's Bureau of Veteran Cadres, and Mo Liangjin, Member of the Standing Committee and Director of the Organization Department of the CPC Jing’an District Committee, attended the event and delivered speeches. Some retired leaders at the bureau level in the district participated in the event.
During the event, participating leaders jointly launched the "2025 'My City, My Home: The Silver Generation Shoulders Their Responsibility' Theme Series Activities for Retired Officials in Jing'an District".
Tang Zhaoji, a member of the China Calligraphers Association and Art Consultant of Jing'an District Veteran Cadre Activity Center, presented the silver-age red seal—seal carving work "People's City" to the Bureau of Veteran Cadres of CPC Jing'an District Committee. This is the first exhibit in the 2025 exhibition activity themed "People's City, Revolutionary Jing'an".
The event also issued appointment letters, thank-you letters, and League member certificates to new and existing members of the "Jing'an Ideological and Political Work" Publicity Group, and also presented the learning and publicity material "Jing'an's Achievements in Extraordinary 10 Years in the New Era". This material highlights the development process and landmark achievements of Jing'an District in all-around strict Party discipline.
At the event, it was noted that General Secretary Xi Jinping's reply letter was not only addressed to all comrades of the "Old Poplar Lecture Program" but also to veteran comrades across the city.
