Jing'an District Opera Gala, titled "Art Along the Way: Celebrating the Beauty of Jing'an", took place at Beizhan Theater in the Beizhan Sub-district Cultural Center on December 15. The Dramatists Association of Jiangbei District in Ningbo was invited to lead actors from the Ningbo Xiaojinfeng Yong Opera Troupe for an engaging exchange with opera performers and fans in Shanghai.

Many classic episodes of Yong Opera, Huai Opera, and farces were showcased on stage, including Orchid Lovers and Half a Pair of Scissors from Yong Opera, as well as A Dumb Lady's Lawsuit and The Yang Family's Story from Huai Opera. The performers captivated the audience with their precise lyrics and movements, eliciting continuous applause and cheers of "Amazing!" The gala not only allowed everyone to enjoy the beauty of opera but also shared the rich history of traditional troupes in Jing'an District. Moreover, it highlighted the main practices and achievements in the inheritance and appreciation of local operas, such as Huai Opera, farce, and Yong Opera, in both Shanghai and Ningbo.

Over the years, the Xiaojinfeng Yong Opera Troupe has performed several representative works from the former Shanghai Jinfeng Yong Opera Troupe, including Half a Pair of Scissors, A Widow and Her Son, Two Jade Cicadas, and Borrowing a Wife. It has also performed traditional operas such as Yang Naiwu and Xiaobaicai, Thunderstorm, The Miser, A Wife for Luck, and Die for Love Along the River. This dedication reflects the troupe's commitment to inheriting the traditional artistic style of Yong Opera. The troupe has made four appearances on CCTV and has been invited multiple times by Shanghai Media Group, Shanghai Big World, and Ningbo Radio and Television Group to record special opera programs. It has performed Yong Opera in various regions, including Shanghai, Jiangsu, Gansu, Sichuan, and Yunnan.

Organized by the Promotion Center of Jing'an District for Style of Huai Opera Artist Zhou Xiaofang, the gala aims to deepen exchanges and cooperation among different opera genres and jointly promote the inheritance and appreciation of traditional operas.
