On February 14, Zhong Xiaoyong, Secretary of the Jing'an District Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC), visited China Railway Shanghai Group Co., Ltd. and hold a seminar with Di Wei, Party Secretary and Board Chair of the Group. Yang Yi, Deputy Mayor of Jing'an District, and Gao Song, Deputy General Manager of the Group participated in the event.

During the seminar, Zhong Xiaoyong gave a brief overview of the socio-economic progress in Jing'an District and, on behalf of the CPC Jing'an District Committee and Jing'an District People's Government, extended appreciation to the Group for its sustained support in the district's construction and development. He remarked that for many years, the Group has actively aligned itself with the national strategic positioning and the overarching development objectives of Shanghai. Moreover, it has also contributed to sustained economic growth, enhanced living standards, and advanced industrial development.

Looking ahead, Jing'an District will continue to excel in providing service support, actively engage with the various business segments of the Group within the district, enhance collaboration and linkage for key projects like the renovation of railway stations in Shanghai, and foster better station-city integration. It is hoped that the government and enterprises will deepen regional cooperation, forge a strong consensus on cooperation, and establish a close-cooperation working mechanism. This will further enhance Jing'an District's functional role in Shanghai's "Five Centers" initiative.

Di Wei briefly introduced the Group's basic situation and expressed gratitude to the CPC Jing'an District Committee and the Jing'an District People's Government for their enduring attention and support. He pointed out that the Group, as a key player in high-speed rail, operations, and construction in the national railway system, is responsible for the railway transportation, construction, and management efforts in the Yangtze River Delta region. In the future, it will promote a higher-level win-win development for both sides. This will be achieved by continuously focusing on the national strategic positioning and Shanghai's broader development objectives. At the same time, cooperation with Jing'an District will be further deepened in areas such as railway construction, railway transportation, and railway-related projects.

China Railway Shanghai Group Co., Ltd. undertakes the railway transportation, construction, and management responsibilities for "Three Provinces and One City", covering Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Anhui, and Shanghai. Currently, the Group's railway operating mileage has surpassed 15,000 kilometers, of which 7,700 kilometers are high-speed rail lines.
