Recently, the inpatient lobby of Jing’an District Central Hospital was bustling with activity. To celebrate the eighth Chinese Doctors’ Day, dozens of medical experts from the Southern Medical Alliance of Jing’an District gathered here to provide free health consultations and treatment services to residents.

This year’s theme for Doctors’ Day is “Virtue in Action, Excellence Through Diligence”. The expert teams from Shanghai Chest Hospital, Jing’an District Central Hospital, and several community health service centers were present early on, covering various specialties including critical care medicine, general practice, oncology, nephrology, neurosurgery, general surgery, rehabilitation medicine, orthopedics, and gynecology. Residents brought in their test reports for interpretation or sought advice on managing chronic illnesses, while the experts listened patiently and provided thorough responses.

“Doctor, my blood pressure has been fluctuating. Should I adjust my medication?”

One senior resident approached a cardiology expert and asked. After a detailed medical history review, the doctor recommended monitoring his blood pressure more closely and reminded him of dietary precautions.

“It is incredibly convenient to receive expert treatment from Grade A tertiary hospitals in our neighborhood!” the resident expressed his gratitude.

The blood sugar and blood pressure measurement area also saw a long line. Nurses conducting measurements for the residents explain, “Blood sugar should be less than 10 mmol/L two hours after meals. Please pay attention to daily dietary balance.”

At the activity site, experts provided detailed health consultations. They delivered personalized advice and recommendations for health inquiries concerning prevention and management of common illnesses and chronic disease, as well as preliminary assessments of complex conditions by delivering.

“They asked thoroughly and responded professionally!” said Mr. Wang, voicing the feelings of the patients.

The healthcare providers noted that this activity leveraged the Medical Alliance framework to bring quality medical resources closer to communities, embodying the spirit of Doctors’ Day and offering convenient health services to residents.
