Ahead of the 16th China Tourism Day, the Culture and Tourism Development Promotion Center of Jing'an District released the bilingual discovery map GALLOP WITH JING'AN. Available in Chinese-English and Chinese-French, this map follows the "seamless travel" concept, connecting the district's revolutionary landmarks, Shanghai-style blocks, commercial hubs, cultural venues, exhibition spaces, and leisure spots. It forms four City Walk routes starting from Jing'an Global Connect, designed to help expats, global youth, and inbound tourists easily discover Jing'an's diverse offerings across dining, accommodation, travelling, sightseeing, shopping, and entertainment.

West Route: Time in the Lanes
GALLOP WITH JING'AN
Starting from the millennium-old Jing'an Temple, this route guides you through the true essence of Jing'an. You will encounter the Paramount ballroom, a symbol of Shanghai's modern nightlife; 900 Food City, blending time-honored brands with modern consumer trends; Shanghai Ley's Pharmaceutical City, which preserves the intangible heritage of Shanghai-style medicine culture; Yugu Village, brimming with the authentic hustle and bustle of lane life; Yongquanfang, an exotic garden lane residence; and the dynamic CREATER SPACE Yu Yuan. Built in 1932 at 218 Yuyuan Road, Jing'an District, the Paramount ballroom was hailed as the Premier Entertainment Palace of the Far East. Epitomizing the luxurious nightlife of old Shanghai, it popularized iconic songs like Shanghai Night and Fragrance of the Night. The elegant Art Deco building, filled with flowing neon lights and melodious jazz, weaves together dance steps and shadows, capturing the modern allure and classic urban memories of 10 Shanghai.

Located at 50 Wanhangdu Road, the 900 Food City, renovated from the former Join Buy Shiji Food Shopping Mall, is a culinary landmark in the Jing'an Temple business district. It houses over 20 time-honored brands like Xiqu Laodafang and San Yang Sheng, while introducing trendy names such as Manner Coffee. As a microcosm of Jing'an's culinary scene, it preserves the culinary memories of traditional Shanghai while showcasing new consumer trends.
North Route: North in Style
GALLOP WITH JING'AN
Starting from the Green House—a garden house masterpiece designed by Laszlo Hudec—the journey takes you to the Picasso Art Museum nestled in a century-old villa, the beautifully restored former residence of Sir Robert Ho Tung, the Shanghai Research Institute of Printing Technology that chronicles the evolution of Chinese font design, and the Majestic Theater, an iconic 1940s theater. Along the way, Jing'an's modern aesthetics and rich culture gradually unfold.

The route spans the 1920 Former Residence of Mao Zedong, the Shanghai Exhibition Center (a masterpiece of Soviet-style architecture), Longfeng Qipao (a time-honored brand showcasing local women's elegance through traditional craftsmanship), Prada Rong Zhai (where fashion and cultural events revitalize a historic building), and Zhang Yuan (transformed from the No. 1 Garden on the Sea into a landmark for the Debut Economy). Along the way, visitors can also enjoy seasonal local snacks at the Wang Jia Sha dim sum shop (West Nanjing Road flagship store) and step into the Louis Vuitton Visionary Journeys exhibition, "docked" right on the same iconic boulevard.
