Palace's First Store in the Chinese Mainland

A major highlight in Shanghai's street fashion scene recently unfolded at Zhang Garden. British street style blended with Haipai culture, creating a wonderful cultural fusion. Palace Skateboards, the renowned British street skateboarding brand, opened its first standalone store in the Chinese mainland at Zhang Garden, Shanghai, attracting numerous fashion enthusiasts to queue in the rain to snap up Shanghai-exclusive items. On the opening day, a lottery-based reservation system was adopted for in-store purchases. Within three days of opening, some of the Shanghai-exclusive products had sold out.

To mark its opening, the store launched a Shanghai-exclusive collection, which integrates the "Shang-Hi" logo, the brand's classic Tri-ferg hand gesture, the mascot for the Chinese Year of the Rabbit, and designs featuring Shanghai's landmark Oriental Pearl TV Tower. Incorporating local Haipai characteristics, the collection comprises exclusive trendy items including jackets, T-shirts, hats, and skateboards.

According to public records, Palace is rooted in skateboarding culture, blending British vintage and streetwear influences. It was founded in 2010 by skateboarder Lev Tanju. The opening of Palace's first standalone store in the Chinese mainland at Zhang Garden, Shanghai, not only represents a major expansion of the brand's presence in the market but also signifies the arrival of authentic London skate and street culture at this iconic venue, celebrated for its rich urban heritage and appeal to the youth demographic. The decision to locate its flagship store in Zhang Garden is deeply connected to the brand's emphasis on community and local culture. This focus is reflected in the store's localized spatial design, its partnership with a time-honored xiaolongbao restaurant across the street, and its ongoing engagement with Shanghai's local skateboarding community.

Fabrique's First Store in Shanghai

Following the March pop-up for its exclusive Fabrique × Vera Wang collection at HKRI Taikoo Hui, Fabrique — a global collective of designers known for its diverse styles — has recently unveiled its first Shanghai boutique, La Salle de Fabrique, at the same location. The store is conceived as a moving wardrobe theater, reconnecting cinematic storytelling with women's daily lives.

The space carries forward the brand's distinctive cinematic DNA. Inspired by classic Parisian theaters, it features layered settings, turning designs and wardrobes into an inspiring venue that feels both personal and relatable. These moments of dressing, lingering, conversing, and selecting garments evolve into a lifestyle experience imbued with ritual and warmth.

Embodying the concept of a global design atelier, the space brings together the creative vision of over 350 designers worldwide to foster a fully-fledged wardrobe —  one defined by stylistic freedom, cultural resonance, and constant evolution — and ultimately extends into a flowing tableau of contemporary women's evolving lifestyles.

Réalisation Par

Soft · Pop-up Store

Founded in Los Angeles in 2015 by two Australian girls, Alexandra Spencer and Teale Talbot, Réalisation Par was born from a simple desire: "to create the special items we felt were missing from our own wardrobes." It moves beyond conventional seasonal collections and focuses on individual pieces that accentuate femininity and self-assurance. The brand has taken social media by storm in recent years, emerging as a surprise hit and finding its way into the wardrobes of women across the globe.

Réalisation Par boasts a large following across social media. Renowned for its signature romantic prints and fluid skirts crafted from 100% silk, the brand delivers effortless chic for wearers anywhere. Its dresses are hailed by fans as the most beautiful designs and have been widely worn by Chinese celebrities. Currently, the brand has no physical stores in the Chinese mainland, with products available exclusively via online channels. Last year, its pop-up store on Shanghai's Wukang Road was so overwhelmed by crowds that it sold out almost immediately, forcing a temporary closure for restocking and an extension of its operating hours.

This time, the brand has set up a soft pop-up store on Yongyuan Road, exclusively showcasing its seasonal new arrivals and classic floral patterns. Customers can also try on the brand's most iconic, bestselling designs. This has drawn crowds of fans queuing up to experience the texture of pure silk and try on the much-loved, dream-girl styles.
