The 2026 Shanghai Table Tennis Carnival Municipal Round-Robin Tournament officially enters its second phase. On the evening of June 14, the home team Jing'an Zhong'anhong defeated Yangpu Huili team 8-3, securing their second straight win of the weekend and improving their overall record to 7-1. With the season now past the halfway point, Jing'an Zhong'anhong team remains in the top three of the bottom half.
Jing’'an Zhong’'anhong team and Yangpu Huili team first faced off on May 23. The two teams met again as the round-robin tournament entered a new phase, with the venue shifting from Yangshupu Road to the Jing’'an Hopson MOHO home court.
Matches follow a best-of-15 format, with the first team to win eight games declared the winner. In the opening mixed doubles, Jing'an team's star pair, Zhao Zhaoyan and Guo Ruichen, performed brilliantly, winning in three straight games to sweep their opponents.
In the subsequent men's singles, women's singles, and men's doubles, Guo Yikai, Yang Caiying, and the duo of Zhao Zhaoyan and Li Heda teamed up to secure the 8-3 victory for Jing'an.
Spectators at Jing'an Hopson MOHO cheered on both teams with enthusiastic applause.
"Go Jing'an team! Fight for every point!" a fan shouted during a break, as others nearby waved cheering sticks.

Next weekend, Jing'an Zhong'anhong team will play away before returning for a home match. They will face the Fengxian Jingfa team away in Fengxian District on June 20, and host the Shangshan Qingpu team on June 21. Notably, the home court for the Jing'an Zhong'anhong team will move from Jing'an Hopson MOHO to the Jing'an District Stadium, which can accommodate a larger audience.
