Main Responsibilities:

1. Implement the policies, guidelines, laws, regulations, and rules related to sports work based on the reality of Jing'an District.

2. Formulate the development strategy and goal of sports work of Jing'an District, guide and promote the reform of the sports system; formulate the development planning and plans of sports undertakings in Jing'an District, and organize their implementation.

3. Guide and examine the sports work in Jing'an District and promote the Fitness-for-All programs; guide and carry out mass sports activities, implement national physical exercise standards, and organize the implementation of physical fitness tests for residents.

4. Be responsible for the overall planning of the setting and key layout of sports events in Jing'an District; study and guide the work of amateur training and the combination of sports and education, and cooperate with relevant departments to carry out the introduction and settlement of excellent athletes.

5. Guide and coordinate the work relating to athletic contests in Jing'an District.

6. Coordinate relevant departments to make planning for the construction and layout of sports venues and facilities in Jing'an District; be responsible for the examination and approval of high-risk sports venues, and manage the sports market in accordance with the law.

7. Be responsible for the opening of public stadiums and sports venues to the public.

8. Be responsible for responding to lawsuits about administrative reviews and administrative proceedings.

9. Handle other tasks assigned by Jing'an District People’s Government.

Organization:

Be responsible for Party affairs, the organization of personnel, publicity, secretarial work, financial management, statistics, internal audit, discipline inspection and supervision, and the handling of public complaints, foreign affairs, trade unions, retirement management, archives management, government information disclosure, etiquette and ethical standards improvement, state-owned assets management, safety production, energy conservation and emission reduction, people's armed forces, and other work, and guide the work of grass-roots units.

2. Sports Competition Training Section

Draft amateur training plans for young people; supervise the training of coaches; organize business training; be responsible for the examination and approval of second- and third-grade sportsman and referees in Jing'an District and the preliminary examination of first-grade sportsmen and referees; work with relevant departments to implement the combination of sports and education; organize and guide regional youth sports competitions; host and jointly host major sports events with other organizations.

3. Social Sports Section

Promote the development planning of mass sports and support the development of the sports industry; implement the systems of social sports instructors and national physical quality monitoring; make planning for the construction of sports venues in Jing'an District; guide and supervise the opening and operation of sports facilities; guide the implementation of all kinds of group activities; be responsible for relevant administrative licensing and supervision; guide the business of the Social Sports Center of Jing'an District and stadiums and sports venues of Jing'an District.
